Prof. Patrick Augustin

An Interview with Prof. Patrick Augustin from McGill University in Montreal about his research into insider trading activities. In an award-winning 2014 Paper he looked into possible insider trading activities before merger and acquisitions in the US. In order to investigate the issue, he and his co-authors carefully looked into options trading activities in the days surrounding the merger or acquisition announcement. I spoke to him about that paper and his findings.

Correction: During the podcast I mention Prof Augustin being from Sweden. That is incorrect, he is from Luxembourg, but he studied in Sweden. My apologies.
